Following the sentence against Marine Le Pen for embezzlement of public funds, which disqualifies her from holding public office for five years, her party National Rally is organizing a support rally in Paris on Sunday, April 6. In light of the demonstrations, U.S. President Donald Trump, his advisor Elon Musk, and Vice President J.D. Vance have expressed their support for the leader of the French far-right. The White House leader described the conviction as a «witch hunt», while Musk called for the release of Le Pen.
