The public prosecutor of Marseille, Nicolas Bessone, is speaking this Monday about the crackdown carried out around the Cité de La Castellane on April 24th. A score of traffickers belonging to the «high spectrum» of narcobanditry have been arrested, announced the Minister of the Interior.
The profile of the 21 traffickers arrested on April 24th is becoming clearer. As announced by Bruno Retailleau during his visit to Marseille, a crackdown operation in the Northern neighborhoods led to the arrest of several «high-ranking» figures in drug trafficking around the Cité de La Castellane. A crackdown aimed at «dismantling an important network,» in the words of the Minister of the Interior visiting the city.
The public prosecutor, Nicolas Bessone, will provide details on the circumstances of these arrests and the profile of the traffickers in a press conference this Monday at 2 p.m. «Not small fry,» as highlighted by Bruno Retailleau, «not small-time players, coalers, but high-level figures in narcobanditry.» Among them, one man was arrested outside of Marseille.
