Déplacement de Sébastien Lecornu à Mâcon ce samedi

According to information from France 3 Bourgogne, Sébastien Lecornu is heading to Mâcon on September 13. This marks the first official visit of the new Prime Minister.

Two days after being appointed to Matignon, Sébastien Lecornu has chosen Saône-et-Loire for his inaugural official visit as Prime Minister. He will be in Mâcon on Saturday, September 13, starting at 10:30 am.

The theme of this visit, as per our sources, is «the daily life of the French and healthcare.» Sébastien Lecornu will visit the recently inaugurated Mâcon Departmental Health Center. We previously covered this in an article in early January: the center boasts seven brand new consultation rooms that accommodate 10 doctors employed by the Departmental Council, a measure to combat medical desertification in rural areas.

Sébastien Lecornu was appointed on September 9 following the ousting of François Bayrou by the National Assembly the day before. A significant majority of deputies did not express confidence in the Pau native: 364 against, 194 in favor. The Mayor of Pau had been in office for 10 months.
