Les secouristes gazaouis dénoncent une frappe meurtrière. La défense civile de la bande de Gaza a annoncé qu’au moins 31 personnes avaient été tuées et plus de 176 blessées, dont des enfants, dans des tirs israéliens contre des personnes se dirigeant vers un centre de distribution d’aide alimentaire. «Il y avait beaucoup de monde, c’était le chaos», et «l’armée a tiré depuis des drones et des chars», a déclaré à l’AFP un homme affirmant s’être rendu au centre. Elle ajoute que «ces fausses informations» ont «été activement fomentées par le Hamas», les jugeant «fausses et fabriquées». L’armée israélienne dénonce également de «fausses informations», après avoir mené une enquête préliminaire. «Tsahal n’a pas tiré sur des civils alors qu’ils se trouvaient à proximité ou à l’intérieur du site de distribution d’aide humanitaire.»

La réponse du Hamas à la proposition de cessez-le-feu est «complètement inacceptable», selon les Etats-Unis. Le mouvement islamiste palestinien se dit prêt à libérer dix otages israéliens encore vivants, «en échange d’un nombre convenu de prisonniers palestiniens» détenus par Israël, insistant sur le fait que «cette proposition vise à obtenir un cessez-le-feu permanent, un retrait complet de la bande de Gaza et à garantir l’acheminement de l’aide à notre peuple et à nos familles». Une réponse jugée «complètement inacceptable» par l’émissaire américain, Steve Witkoff.
