The Paris public prosecutor’s office has entrusted an investigation into theft to the second district of the judicial police.
JoeyStarr, a rapper and actor, had his Parisian home burglarized while he was sleeping, resulting in a loss estimated at over 100,000 euros, the Paris public prosecutor’s office announced on Wednesday, September 3. According to reports, the 57-year-old star, whose real name is Didier Morville, recently moved to the 10th arrondissement of Paris with his partner, actress and model Pauline Latchoumanin, and reported the theft of luxury watches.
«The victim discovered the disappearance of items worth over 100,000 euros while he was asleep,» the prosecutor’s office stated, launching an investigation into theft in a residential building by the second district of the judicial police. JoeyStarr began his music career in the early 1990s with Kool Shen, forming the iconic French hip-hop duo Suprême NTM. He later transitioned to acting, appearing in comedies such as «La Tour Montparnasse Infernale» (2000) and «RRRrrrr!!!» (2004) before earning two César nominations for his roles in Maïwenn’s films «Le Bal des actrices» (2009) and «Polisse» (2011).
