Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy was granted parole on Monday, November 10 by a Paris court, pending the outcome of his appeal. The ex-head of state spent less than three weeks in prison after being sentenced to five years in jail for conspiring to fund his 2007 electoral campaign, allegedly with the help of then-Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi.
