A man suspected of being an accomplice to Mohamed Amra, a repeat drug trafficker who escaped in May 2024 and was arrested in Romania in February, has been arrested in Thailand, France Télévisions has learned, confirming information from RTL on Thursday, March 27. Adonis Correa, who is the subject of an Interpol notice, is suspected of being part of the commando involved in the attack on the van in which Mohamed Amra was traveling at the Incarville toll booth (Eure), during which two prison officers were killed and three others were injured.
This suspect was arrested at Phuket airport and then incarcerated in Bangkok, according to the source. «He presented himself to the Thai authorities with whom we have been in contact for several days,» said his lawyer Joseph Hazan to RTL. «He has not made any statements at this stage and will explain himself to the French judges.»
This arrest adds to the 24 new arrests made on Monday (22 in France and two in Germany). So far, 27 people, including Mohamed Amra, have been indicted.
