L’accord de cessez-le-feu entre Israël et le Hamas est de nouveau mis à mal. «Deux civils ont été tués et quatre autres, dont un enfant et un nourrisson, ont été blessés lors d’une frappe aérienne israélienne sur une maison (…) dans le quartier d’al-Sabra, dans le sud de la ville de Gaza», a annoncé, mardi 28 octobre, le porte-parole de la défense civile dans l’enclave palestinienne, Mahmoud Bassal, cité par l’AFP. Une heure plus tôt, le Premier ministre israélien, Benyamin Nétanyahou, avait ordonné des frappes «immédiates» sur l’enclave palestinienne, après avoir accusé le Hamas de violer l’accord de trêve en vertu duquel il doit rendre les dépouilles de ces derniers otages. Désaccord après la remise d’un corps par le Hamas lundi. Dans la soirée de lundi, le Hamas a remis des restes d’un otage du 7-Octobre à Israël, par l’intermédiaire de la Croix-Rouge. Mais mardi, le bureau du Premier ministre israélien a affirmé que ces restes appartenaient à Ofir Tzarfat, enlevé au festival de musique Nova lors des attaques, mais dont la dépouille incomplète avait été ramenée de la bande de Gaza «lors d’une opération militaire il y a environ deux ans». Il ne figure donc pas dans la liste des otages dont le Hamas doit rendre les corps dans le cadre de l’accord de cessez-le-feu en vigueur. «Une violation flagrante» de cet accord, ont estimé les services de Benyamin Nétanyahou.
Israël accuse aussi le mouvement palestinien d’une «mise en scène». Le gouvernement israélien a aussi affirmé mardi que le Hamas avait mis en scène la découverte du corps d’Ofir Tzarfat lundi dans la bande de Gaza. L’armée a diffusé une vidéo filmée par un drone pour étayer ses dires, sans préciser où elle a été tournée. «Le Hamas a creusé un trou dans le sol hier, y a déposé une partie des restes d’Ofir [Tzarfati], l’a recouvert de terre et l’a remis à la Croix-Rouge», a affirmé Shosh Bedrosian, porte-parole du bureau du Premier ministre israélien. Le Hamas, qui devait libérer le 13 octobre les 28 corps des captifs que lui et ses alliés retiennent encore, n’en a restitué jusque-là que 15, et affirme mener des recherches pour retrouver les autres.
Le Hamas reporte la restitution d’un autre corps. Mardi après-midi, la branche armée du Hamas avait annoncé la remise, à 19 heures (heure de Paris), d’une dépouille d’un otage du 7-Octobre, tout juste retrouvée dans un tunnel dans la bande de Gaza. Mais après l’annonce des frappes israéliennes, les Brigades al-Qassam ont finalement reporté cette opération, dénonçant à leur tour «des violations» du cessez-le-feu par Israël.

Disagreement after Hamas handed over a body on Monday. On Monday evening, Hamas handed over the remains of a hostage from October 7th to Israel through the Red Cross. However, on Tuesday, the office of the Israeli Prime Minister stated that these remains belonged to Ofir Tzarfat, who was abducted at the Nova music festival during the attacks, but whose incomplete body was brought back from the Gaza Strip «during a military operation about two years ago».
