A fire broke out this Sunday at noon in a building on Jeanne d’Arc street in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. Four people were injured, one of whom was hospitalized in serious condition.
The firefighters were called around 12:30 pm this Sunday to a fire in the 13th arrondissement. The fire started in an apartment on the 5th floor of a building located at 110 Rue Jeanne d’Arc. Several people were injured: three lightly, due to smoke inhalation, and one more seriously. Although not life-threatening, the individual is an elderly person who tried to extinguish the fire and suffered burns.
The apartment was devastated by the flames, but the fire was quickly brought under control by the firefighters. «There will be at least one relocation. There are some traces in the apartment above, but the fire did not spread. There may be some damage, especially due to the water used to extinguish the fire,» said a spokesperson for the Paris Fire Brigade.
In total, nearly 100 firefighters and around twenty vehicles were dispatched to the scene.
