The French Ski Federation (FFS) has immediately referred the matter to its Ethics Committee to examine the information available and initiate all necessary procedures, as stated in a press release. The FFS also confirms that it will become a civil party in this case and aims to «support the victims» and «fully cooperate with judicial authorities» to «shed light on these unacceptable facts.» The Federation concludes by emphasizing that «no tolerance, no silence will be tolerated.»
In response to the FFS’s decision, the Ministry of Sports acknowledges it and mentions that an administrative investigation was promptly opened following the article in Le Monde. The ministry states that it is closely monitoring the progress of the administrative investigation and any measures that may be taken.
The ski coach, a former Olympic silver medalist in 2006, has been accused by several young women, who were minors at the time of the incidents.
