A 23-year-old man identified as Quentin D. died on Saturday, February 14, after being seriously injured in an assault that occurred two days earlier in Lyon, according to the local prosecutor’s office. The young man, linked to the French anti-immigration group Némésis, had attended a protest against a conference given by MEP Rima Hassan before being found unconscious by emergency services. Right-wing parties and organizations have pointed to anti-fascist groups as responsible. The judicial investigation is ongoing to clarify the facts.
