Samuel Paty, a history and geography teacher, was beheaded on October 16, 2020, near the Bois d’Aulne school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, northwest of Paris, by Chechen Islamist Abdoullakh Anzorov, who was shot dead by the police shortly after the crime.
