A man admitted to killing his wife after an argument. An investigation for murder committed by a spouse has been opened.

An man was arrested on Friday, suspected of killing his wife in Saint-Prix (Val-d’Oise), reported ICI Paris Ile-de-France on Sunday, May 17.
According to initial findings of the investigation, the 68-year-old victim was found strangled in the town on Friday. A few hours later, her husband, arrested, admitted to killing her «following a trivial altercation», said the Pontoise prosecutor’s office. An investigation for murder committed by a spouse has been opened.
The suspect was brought before a judge on Sunday for indictment and placement in pretrial detention.
Une enquête a été ouverte pour meurtre commis par conjoint après qu’un homme a été interpellé pour avoir tué sa femme à Saint-Prix (Val-d’Oise). Selon les premiers éléments de l’enquête, la victime, âgée de 68 ans, a été retrouvée morte étranglée sur la commune. Son mari, interpellé quelques heures plus tard, a avoué l’avoir tuée «à la suite d’une banale altercation», selon le parquet de Pontoise. Le suspect a été présenté à un juge en vue de sa mise en examen et de son placement en détention provisoire.
